Kris Lloyd Artisan Creamy Cow – Fresh cow cheese150g
New to the fold, this super creamy cheese is perfect for winter! Use in anything you are baking that needs a cheese filling: like quiches, cheese and spinach tarts love it smothered over hot crusty bread and ….my absolute favourite is lashings of it on top of piping hot baked potatoes that are wrapped in prosciutto!
Beverage – Lighter bodied reds will work a treat!
Kris Lloyd Artisan BRIE 200g
Our Brie is made with the finest quality cow milk and rich cream sourced directly from our local dairy farmer in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. Super creamy and delicate you can eat this cheese young or let it get close to its best before date where it will develop a bit more character and get a little bit funky! Remember a short rest at room temperature for full flavour. A great addition to any cheese board! Given it is winter we would also like to suggest that try a baked Brie- this can be simply done by placing the cheese in a ramekin that it fits in snuggly, carefully cut the top off the cheese and insert some garlic cloves and herbs into the paste of the cheese. Put the top back on and bake until oozing enjoy with crusty bread. If you like a bit of heat add chilli or dust with cayenne pepper.
Beverage – We like a Prosecco or other sparkling wine with this cheese as the carbonation cleanses the palate from the rich butteriness in the cheese.
Kris Lloyd Artisan Harlequin – Triple Cream Washed Rind 180g
Harlequin is super decadent, and this is because we add cream into the making process. This cheese is also a washed rind so there is an extra layer of flavour that will come through as it does with all good washed rinds. While we want this cheese to be a little funky we still want it to be approachable and enjoyable so it is a good entry level washed rind. Great with fresh local pears that are in season now.
Beverage: Best enjoyed with a sneaky little local beer, try Mismatch Pale or a fresh crisp cider.
Kris Lloyd Artisan Bush Buff – Smokey Buffalo Cheese 150g
My love of outback-indigenous ingredients brought this marriage of fresh buffalo cheese and smokey outback bush tomato together. Indigenous to South Australia, a bush tomato is almost like a plump raisin when fresh. These special little fruits are dried and then gently smoked to create a unique flavour that works so well with the rich, creamy, rounded flavour of the buffalo fresh cheese.I love it on a cheese board with a fruity red wine, or smothered over hot crusty bread and ….my absolute favourite is lashings of it on top of piping hot baked potatoes!
Beverage: We love a light pinot noir to a big beefy shiraz with this savoury cheese!
Kris Lloyd Artisan Bloody Mary Relish 235g
I designed this relish especially for cheese but fell in love with it on so many other foods including roast meat! I like a bit of cheese on my cracker and a dollop of relish on top!! SO YUMMY!! Made with local ingredients it is a unique combination of yummy savoury flavours. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
